Maryland Speeding Ticket?? Don't pay it. Go to Court.

Friends,



If I had a nickel for every time a client told me they got pulled over for speeding (or some other traffic violation that carries points), and they just PAID the ticket, I would have a few nickles.



Listen, if you simply pay the ticket, you are AUTOMATICALLY going to get a conviction on your traffic record and all of the points. Points are bad. Points make your insurance go up, points can suspend your license. Points stop you from getting a PBJ…

So you've been pulled over in Maryland?? Now What. Some Helpful Tips.

SO YOU'VE BEEN PULLED OVER……..NOW WHAT????



1. BE POLITE and COURTEOUS to the officer (even if he/she does not deserve it).



2. REPEAT AFTER ME, "I DO NOT CONSENT TO SEARCHES."



3. If you've been given multiple citations, PAY NONE OF THEM. By paying, you've automatically convicted yourself, given yourself points, and weakened your case. Instead, GO TO COURT.
