It is important for all drivers to be aware of traffic laws and safe driving habits, not just new drivers who are fresh from studying traffic guides for the initial driving test. Most accidents could have been avoided if the drivers were paying better attention to the safety rules that should be followed when driving. It is recommended that all drivers periodically attend some type of driver’s education or defensive driving class. Depending upon the circumstances, points may be removed from the driving record upon the completion of a driver education course. Serious traffic violations such as a DUI are not eligible for this benefit, and there is a limit to the number of points that may be removed.
